THE PROFESSOR - Horror Gothic Comics
First the atmosphere, gothic, disturbing.
The appropriate temporal setting is therefore the last quarter of the nineteenth century. Victorian society. Between industrial fumes, rampant poverty, mystery, prostitution, various odors. As if everything were enveloped in a foul-smelling fog and where suddenly, in high society, Benjamin Love finds himself, not at ease, amidst the sequins, the glittering lights and the dances.
But under those robes, "The Professor" smells the rotten. The characters that will be able to meet in this place and time are well known and dear figures both to a large audience and to literature.
From Queen Victoria to Conan Doyle (read Sherlock Holmes), to the Indian Thughs followers of the Goddess Kalì and ante litteram bombers to Jack the Ripper. From the first secret services of Scotland Yard to the war of spies, nobles and rich bourgeois to the despair and hunger of the masses. Up to the vampires, of course, and to the ghosts of a mysterious London, to go to the decadence of Venice, the mysteries of Rome, the court of the Tsar where Rasputin faces, to the sorrows of the Empress Sissi and the intrigues of Bavaria and Mayerling . Without neglecting the music of Wagner of which Benjamin Love is passionate and that will accompany him in his investigations. An epic humus, where Benjamin, hero in spite of himself, full of doubts, forced to action but always reflecting on what he does, caught in a vortex between good and evil, forced to choose even when the boundaries between the two are not so clear.

TRAVELERS an illustrated book
Travelers is an illustrated book project born from the idea of the designer / set designer Andrea Corbetta.
In years of commuting on Italian trains, Corbetta has developed a particular capacity for observation that, over time, has managed to transform the idea of a book made up of one hundred (100) portraits of train commuters. Each portrait was made "live" during the journey on the train with the help of a Samsung tablet.
The hundred portraits, so that the project has more breath and is not only delivered to the images, are accompanied by a series of stories by emerging writers with already a good curriculum assets. It was decided to enhance the "visual narration" of Corbetta so that it has continuity. So a series of stories, about the journey, to act as the only common denominator.
Travelers is a novelty: to date, in Italy a similar project has never been realized. The innovation of the idea manages to merge two different and distant realities: commuting, often experienced as a "lost time", and the creativity of a series of young writers who have come into play. The outlets of the book can become multiple: the normal distribution (paper book / ebook), e-commerce but also a potential agreement with the Trenitalia company, which may have interest in supporting the project for a return of image, having its well recognizable logo in the drawings, and could thus share the book with its users distributing free copies in stations or on the same trains.
The train, like other means of transport, is a micro cosmos made of faces, bodies, physical characteristics, colors, fashions, looks, silences, readings and listening to music. Andrea Corbetta, with his drawings, and the emerging writers with their stories in motion, try to fix all this inside the pages of the best friend that, many times, a traveler tends to forget: the book.
